Tomas Damas (1825–1890) Spanish guitarist,From 1860 was giving concerts in Spain not only like a guitarist, but also like an Orchestra Conductor
He was a pupil of Francisco Tarrega and was friend with Julian Arcas witch dedicated some of his compositions.Is writing a Guitar School edited in 1865 , and a New Guitar School edited in Madrid.His works and writings are very interesting. Composed Over 100 pieces and wroght some arrangements on Spanish folk melodies.

Tomas Damas is The inventor of the "Bartok pizzicato".He find this effect before Bartok Bela was born before 1881 Damas used this effect in his compositions "A mi morena" y "La Macarena"186
