Leonhard von Call  was an Austrian composer, very popular and productive in Vienna in the period c 1800-1815. He composed and published many works, especially chamber music for guitar and other instruments, as well as songs, string quartets.

In his time of Call was a popular composer.He began composing from 1796, his works were printed from 1802 until his death in 1815.
At the same time, announcements and reviews of his work were published in the Universal newspaper musical Leipzig.Many of his works were commissioned work for members of the bourgeoisie and lesser nobility.

The number of his works is around 150, he mainly composed pieces for violin, flute and guitar.
